I have this combination and am happy with the sound through my AudioEngine A2 speakers, but through the Grados I get a lot of sibilance.

The bass and midrange is good, and detail is very impressive, it's just the lisping on voices and very high notes.

Could I have duff Op-Amps - or is this just due to the sound of the Grados?

Just swapped the two headphone Op/Amps back for the original ones, and the high end is still a bit splashy.

For instance - Rope by the Foo Fighters has a lot of cymbals which very very tinny.

Also there is a kind of lisp to Dave's voice.

Any ideas?

I managed to fix the problem by switching back to the stock ear cups - I had been using the doughnut type ear cups.

This seems to have cut right down the harshness and sibilance - there is still some minor sibilance at high volume levels though, but only when very loud.
