Yeah scientists say a lot of things, did you know every second you're alive you are one more second closer to death? I say eat what makes you happy I would rather die sooner happy than live a billion years unhappy.

Well said. I'm sure in the next 10 years these same scientists will find that meat wasn't as bad as they thought.

Yep - living life is the biggest cause of death.

I'd rather enjoy life and die a little early than spend my whole life worrying about what lifestyle choices might kill me - and then get hit by a bus anyway.

I'm pretty sure I'm at like 6000% risk already, another steak won't hurt.

That is the most humorous thing I have read in a week.

Yes, I glanced through the study and it seems to be pretty well conducted. However, it's still a prospective study (ie observational), so causation isn't proven yet. In addition, they studied those that were 50-71, so I should be safe for a while

Seriously though, while it may be significant, I wouldn't go cut red meat out of my diet. What they're pretty much saying is, 'don't eat red meat in excess'... which is true for almost everything anyways.

Thanks for the interesting read though
