The Fostex T50 won't sound anything like the Denons.  They are orthodynamic drivers, as opposed to dynamic drivers, which is a completely different technology.  Great sounding headphones, though they are also difficult to drive well.

I second the Fostex T50rp. Since you're goal is mixing music, you need a very balanced neutral set of cans.

No problem, although I should mention that they come with a 1/

inch plug, so you will need an inexpensive adapter if you want to plug them into an 1/8 inch jack.
