Just keep in mind they can be finicky and they are not for everybody. I am lucky because they fit me right and prefer them so far over other universals or custom.
The fact they don't isolate like IEMS is a plus for my needs

How important is the fit/seal to get decent bass?

To me it appears to be important, but not as important as as it is on, for example, an Etymotic ER-4, where it is absolutely essential. I think the bass is much better with my custom earmolds than it was with the little ones supplied by STAX. In point of fact, on my SR-003 it is better across the entire spectrum with the custom ear molds. They may look funny but they are very comfortable and the sound is far improved. And, you can't see the ear molds when they are in your ears unless you are JarJar Binks or General Akbar. And no, they don't isolate you at all. Not good for most forms of domestic mass transportation. Better off with real IEM's

May I ask who did your molds?

Starkey Labs in Minnesota.  About $212.00 including impression cost.  Worth every penny.

Can you post a picture please?

I tried to post the pictures but this browser won't let me. See post #198 in this thread. The pictures are there. They were made off the SR-003 phone (not the current model). See my thread about custom ear molds for details about Starkey's experience with making these molds for more details if you are interested. PETER

You do not.  The DC plug is the type that opens the battery circuit when you insert the DC plug to prevent "charging".

I do admit that I normally leave them out while I'm running on the power supply.

shipsut, do you have to remove the batteries to use the charger? I assume not, but not sure.

I'm in the UK so I just ordered from Maplin and got this one: http://www.maplin.co.uk/ac-dc-multi-voltage-power-supply-46107

You should be able to find something similar on eBay, Amazon, or at Radio Shack.  Having the switchable voltage is no necessary, you could get a fixed voltage version.

Just to be clear, this is only a power supply, not a "charger".  You cannot charge batteries by using the DC supply.

Just got my pair, major thanks to gilency for pushing me over the edge. RWA AK100 > SR-002 makes for one heck of a transportable rig. I'll be picking this over my JH-16s 9/10 times.
