Just interested to see the ratio of manual gearboxes vs auto 'boxes. I've got a 5-speed focus hatchback.

Not counting two company vehicles I have bought 13 stick shifts so far.

Unless I buy a high end sedan my next one will be an stick shift as well.

manual ftw. my eclipse gsx was 5 speed, and my svt focus is 6 speed. i really dont think i will willfully go and buy an automatic car again, unless it is all that exists. when i drive my dads car(g35 seden 5at) i still feel incredibly disengaged from it and quite bored actually

Manual Nissan Primera.

Big gulf between auto and synchro mesh gearboxes between the usa and europe though.

I drive an auto, but I'd much rather be driving a manual. My Accord might actually have a bit of pep with a manual, but the slushbox is awful and makes for a very boring car. I do what I can, though.

Automatic because well, it's not like I drive a high performance car.

Does M5 qualify as hi-end sedan?
