hey guys,
which would be better Shure SRH840 or Audio Technica M50 for;
* Laptop > uDAC > LDI+ setup
* Electronic / Classic / Metal
i'm not after a headphone that can play all of those genres perfectly, that would be unreasonable, but for example if the 840 can play 2 of those well and m50 can only play one of those well... then the choice would be obvious
i do realize there are 1,000,001 thread on these 2 however, i feel this exact scenario hasn't been discussed or questioned yet.. from what i can tell after a quick search (nor do i have time to go through 1,000,001 threads at work lol)
-- update
i did also consider HFI 780 but for keeping this discussion simple i'm only comparing the 2 above. however, if you feel there's something that's even better than any of these 3 cans in similar price range, please express your opinion
ultimately i'm after a closed, circumaural, headphone with decent bass punch that will play some or all of my fave genres of music well.
