This has been my set-up for the past 10 days and all I can say is perfection

the E1 + E3 combo, I believe, is perfect for this headphone.
It refines your iPod's audio, bringing out the little ounce of sound and that bass kick

Not to mention a recable of sorts!

I really miss my E3

yeah

It's better than the really really long, coiled, stock cable

What the difference if using only one of E3 or E1?

E1 alone just makes it brighter and a bit more detailed

with the E3 it adds bass and a slight more clarity

This is something called "double amping" and typically results in degradation in sound quality. Your rig would probably sound just as good/better if you had an LOD in place of the E1 and amp it off the E3. I suppose whatever sounds good to you sounds good, and that is perfectly fine, but when you go upto higher level amps do keep in mind that this practice is strongly discouraged.

Hi i have a question, I have SRH440 (they are awesome) im using them with uDAC and my macbook pro...
But i have also iphone and ipod nano 4G,  and i think, it could be very usefull if i would have some portable amp...
Im thinking bout E1, is it a good choice? (or anything else that is portable and suitable for I stuff)
and i like your cable :)

Thanks
