Which do you think sounds better?

clip sounds better w/the EQ off, S638F sounds better w/the EQ on. In other words, both have excellent SQ, depending on how they're used.

I was already going to get the Clip for music on the go because of FLAC support, but I'm guessing the Sony might not be a bad choice to get later on for videos and music on long car rides?

I'll give it to the Sansa Clip for the music it gives out despite its size. It also depends on the earphones you use to match with your source, and I say my UM1 matches pretty well with the Clip.

I am lucky enough to have both players, and they are both superb sounding units. No need for extra amplification, great sq from both players. For the price of the clips you pay now, buy both. It is a really hard poll, both are very good indeed. No vote here, just get both if you can.

, i cant get audition S630 for my country doesn't have S639, a lot forumer claims SQ & EQ S730 is same with S639.

i'll vote for Sony for both EQ and SQ. Also consider Sansa player

as my 2nd player for lossless "FLAC" format and superior sound as well.

If you want some video, then you should be comparing Sony to Fuze.
