These are SoundMAGIC's 2nd full size headphones, after the excellent HP100

I have just recieved these for review, but unfortunately they have a channel imbalance problem, will see if i sort it out or if i have to send them back.

They look great with their open air design and they are super comfortable like the HP100

Problem solved, drivers were indented from aeroplane pressure probably.

With no burn-in all I'll say is we may have some real contenders here, wide soundstage, balanced sound, amazing detail retrieval, not bass light, with great treble.

My friend has the DT880 250ohm so I'll have to compare.

These are very well built with a detachable cable, and comfort is as good as any beyerdynamic, if not better.

These can really compete with the big boys, just a shame they aren't very well known. The HP100 is very underrated, they outperform others in their price range but nobody has them. Both are great cans, they just need more exposure.

Just ordered the HP-100s (along with M50s and UE6000s). I'm looking forward to seeing how they all compare.

You won't be disappointed by the HP100, but make sure you let them burn-in

Will do.

I just started a new job (with a lot of traveling) so I'm looking to replace my Bose QC2 (my brother lost them a few years ago). If these weren't mainly for travel, I'd probably opt for the 200s vs the 100s.

I was also thinking of getting the Fiio E17 to drive them as it's still pretty small/portable.

The M50s and UE6000s get here tomorrow, but the HP-100s haven't shipped yet.  I'm hoping they ship soon as I have high hopes for the SoundMAGICs and have a flight from Miami to Germany coming up on the 10th.

Sorry... Didn't mean to hijack your thread.

More comments, more exposure :)

Yes, I would take the 200 over the 100 but they are open, so not good for your needs, but the 100 is still an excellent can

I'm not quite sure if they retail anywhere yet, your best bet is to contact Soundmagic.

I just got the HP200 in for review myself. Really loving them so far! The soundstage is great, but then for a closed back the HP100's were fantastic also! I have been so impressed by these full size SoundMAGIC headphones, first the HP100 and now the HP200, both stunning examples of clean frequencies, smooth bass and stunning detail! Absolutely blown away by this brand and now I want to try the WP10!

When I do my full review of the HP200 I will be comparing them to the Beyerdynamic DT880 (600 Ohm), the AKG Q701 and from memory the HD800. I hope that I can get the HD650 to test with the HP200 side-by-side, but we'll see.

HP200 sound a lot cleaner than HD650.

I cant wait for the HP300 to come out! Wooden goodness
