I want to get the DT 990 Pro 250 Ohms and I'm looking for something to properly drive these. 
 
I'm looking at the Sound Blaster Z and the Sound Blaster 5.1 Omni.
 
If both are the same product, with a DAC & AMP, then I am leaning towards the external so I could use it with my laptop too.

the Z looks like u have to open up your computer to put it in, the blaster is a hook up and forget. you probaly wont notice the difference in sound quality. I'm willing to bet they use the same internals.
