Howdy, Do any of you have any experience with this relatively new asynchronous USB to S/PDIF converter? There's obviously quite a few of options on the market these days, and this particular model may be too fresh for people to have any direct experience with it: http://www.digitalaudionews.net.au/2011/05/29/sotm-dx-usb-hd-asynchronous-usb-spdif-converter/

Bumping to ask if anyone has any experience with this product. I've seen it referenced in one other thread, but impressions/reviews seem non-existent.

I've heard good things about SOtM as a company.

SOtM makes the tX-USB card used in the Auraliti and CAPS/CAPS v2.0.  Given their reputation, I'm looking forward to hearing more about this converter.

Edit: Apparently, there's also an "mBPS-d2s" battery power supply, to be paired with the dx-USB HD.  I'm not a fan of these names, though.

Decided to take the plunge.

Congrats! Seems to me like a very nice transport. I've had to settle with a Hiface Two. I bet the SOtM sounds pretty darn good.

I've had the dx-USB HD and mBPS-d2s for a few months now, but I haven't had much listening time.  Kind of a shame, as the LL and BHSE showed up just around that time as well, and have been sitting and quietly gathering dust because of all the work I've had to do in the meantime.  Haven't had a chance to do an A/B or any such thing.
