Therefor, PHA-1 should be more than enough to drive the HD650 and HE-500, right?

But specs are one thing, and performance is another. Did you use PHA-1 to drive any of those tough headphones?

From what I read, they also provide a conversion adapter to support the USB digital input functions of the PHA-2. (when associated with the next Sony AUDIOPHILE walkman ZX1 (with 128 Gb of storage and support for 24/192 !).

Finaly a compact audiofile solution !

These are compatible with I-devices which do not support DSD. You won't get optimal performance with full sized headphones and the DAPs currently on the market which do support DSD all cater for the headphones/earphones that the PHA-2 would be suited to. It looks good but I'm still wondering, what's the point? The Centrance thing looks more versatile, more powerful and has balanced outputs.
