Agreed with your review on XBA-1, the bass rolls off way soon, though its bass will benefit from amping, I love mine as is, but pairing it with either E10 or E11, the bass become so much better.

The bass on the V6 is maybe 10 more than whats on XBA-1. But that doesnt mean the XBA-1 doesnt have bass. It does, but not a much compared to full sixes headphone.

This may be a long shot, but can someone tell me how the bass on the XBA-1 compare to a pair of Sony v6/MDR-7506 in terms of quantity?

Do you have to wiggle the cable to get the sound near the earpiece? If it is, it could be a loose connection which 'may' need a soldering job

I don't own xba 1 but I just got xba 2. When I compare the bass of xba 2 with mdr 7506, the big can really extends its lows while Xba 2 has a quick tight bass. Depending on the song im listening to, I quite enjoy xba 2 better than its big gramps.
