that converts to 304,32 USD totally while accessoryjack cost $349.99
and with accessoryjack, its a lottery wether you are hit with a custom fee if you live in europe. Then you will pay even more.

At least with amazon, its paid import fees in advanced so you wont get suprised fees. I didnt need to pay anything after.

I'm looking to buy a DAC for my N3AP. There is currently a discount for E1DA 9038S on Linsoul and I'm wondering if it is a good match with N3AP. I really like the bass of this IEM so I'm worried that the "analytical" / "cold" output from 9038S will change the bass signature. Anyone has paired the N3AP with 9038S with good results? Or is there another DAC that is a better match for this IEM (edit: Preferably within the price range of 9038S)?

Edit: I will mainly be using this DAC for my laptop as I already have the LG V50 which is great w/o any external DAC.

I bought the Qudelix 5K, and it's a good match with it.

Used to own one. In my experience it doesn't scale much with better gear. In a way it's kind of a good thing as you don't have to spend much on the source equipment as it's quite forgiving. Sounds more or less the same from my macbook, my LG v20, iphone dongle, ipod 5g, radsone es100, hybrid tube amps.

Thanks for the recommendation. Will look it up.

This is my experience as well. It sounds almost identical whether on my laptop (using ASIO4ALL or WASAPI EXCLUSIVE) or LG V50. I thought it is due to my untrained ears not being able to pick up differences. Thanks for sharing your experience.

My thoughts, exactly, pedronet. First the XBA-2/3/4 vs. XBA-20/30/40, then the XBA-H vs. XBA-A series. It seems like a repeating pattern: all the noteworthy "upgrades" were merely available in Asia. Well, at least the N1AP and N3AP will be available in Europe. Let's guess what will happen to their successors...
5 years later, still no successor :D

I bet the people at Sony have shifted their focus more towards "True Wireless" as well as Bluetooth IEMs and headphones. With current (mainstream) market and audio trends going away from wired connections, it totally makes sense from a business point of view. Perhaps we might see some very expensive SONY IEMs or headphones released at some point if they think that there is any noteworthy audience/money to be made left, but I honestly doubt it.

Besides that, the XBA-N1/3 still don't fall behind the competition.

5 years into the game and there is still nothing that can provide the sound of the XBA-N3 with its sound quality for 300€. And used (like new) for 150€ they are a non trainer.

Other companies release 2-3 or more IEM per year and still haven't been able to beat that "old" thing

The M11 Plus LTD does have its highest quality on Low Gain. Afair High-Gain disables Error Correction and increases noise+distortion to provide higher volume.

But are the XBA-N3 so power hungry? I could run the 300Ω Sennheiser HD820 on Low-Gain with the M11 Plus LTD :xf_eek: don't destroy your hearing!

You're right. It's enough in low gain. On high gain, I don't push up volume too much

I had the Fiio M 11 Plus LTD to pair the Sony N3AP, using it's balanced output 4.4mm and it was a total deception! It's a beautiful DAP, no doubts about it, but the sound is too weak, for it's cost. I returned the Fiio back and i'm now waiting for the Hiby RS6. Back then, when i did a comparison between the Fiio M 11 Plus LTD and a much cheaper Hiby R 3 Pro Saber, the little Hiby was far better. So much better, that took me to the decision on the devolution of the Fiio.
With the Sony XBA N3AP and also N1AP, we need to let them open with time. My experience is, already using both for more than eight months, both have increased their quality for more than triple the quality when out of their boxes.
