While interesting, getting those used ones is not easy where I am, amazon.jp won't ship to my country.

I'd be interested to know of readily available alternatives in Europe if anyone has an idea?

thanks!
They are no longer available in Europe and they are discontinued in Japan either.

So they are officially discontinued all over the world.

But there are alternatives to it. I think in an similar price rane what would match it best would be the Final E4000 or the FiiO x Crinacle FHE

I don't necessarily need exact same price range - they probably were more expensive when I bought them in 2019 than when they were discontinued. I need same audio quality and most of all to be able to wear them straight down, not around the ear.

I disagree, N3 is a LOT better than the E4000 imo.
(and the whole E series lineup for that matter.)

Agree with this, I have the N3 and the entire E series with me, and the E series are inferior in technical chops (in addition to some of the them requiring powerful amps eg E3000, and especially E5000, which limits portability).

If you just want similar technicalities and a bullet fit, take a look at this list.

IMO the Intime Sora light 2019 is a beast and costs like 40 usd (MSRP).

ok then, one more constraint :) would prefer MMCX to use a super thin cable like the Linum one. but I'll look at your list, thanks!
Bullet iems is already rare, adding mmcx into that requirement and you really dont have much out there....

Well take a look at the list I sent, it does list if its mmcx, 2pin or fixed.

i see you have a M9 along with N3. if you can only have one, what would you choose and why?

For me the N3 is comparable to the M7. I listen to both when I’m out depending on the mood and genre.

When it comes to the M9 it’s a no contest. It’s just the best IEM I’ve heard period.

Would like to reply, cause i have both, or well I had, just sold n3, different iems, m9 is far more technical but with a unique warm timbre, n3 is very good, great timbre but not comparable to m9, but the price difference is real, so hard to answer

I currently don't own either, but used to have the N3 and demoed the M9, and will demo again in Japan later this year with the serious consideration of purchasing.
It can depend on what angle you come from as the M9 is a higher-tier all BA, whereas the N3 is a mid-tier hybrid. The quality difference may make the M9 more appealing if you want a higher audio experience of staging, details, etc, and the N3 might be considered more V-shaped fun with it's dynamic bass. I'm a hybrid (dynamic bass) fan and currently own the Z5 which is a tier above the N3. When the M9 first came out I was considering it to replace my Z5, but as good as it sounded I couldn't let go the the Z5 purely because of the dynamic bass.
I have the IER-Z1R, and repurchased the Z5, but I'm always considering the M9 due to it's outstanding reviews, and for something different to what I have.

IMO the N3 is better than the Z5. Only a few aspects of the Z5 is better to me, the bass extension/rumble and the stage depth.

Those are 2 main areas of focus for me. I didn't own them at the same time but from following both threads I thought the general opinion was that the N3 had a better tuning, but the Z5 was deemed to be technically better?
If I can compare in the future I might even opt for the N3.
