Heads up the H1 is in stock on amazon, I messaged the seller and everything, the wait for impressions is killing me, I am so tempted to just order a pair lol
Remember that the EX-1000 has the thinnest possible and most stable housing made fro Magnesium Alloy. The H3 in contrast seems to have a standard plastic housing that needs to be much thicker to be stable. But the fit seems to be equal. that alone make for 200 $ price difference.
Do these have open venting like the mdr/ex series? If not they might be better isolating and less prone to wind noise.
THe XBA-H3 is £222 on Amazon at the moment:

It was £263 just yesterday.
Bugger! But delivery date is now 1 to 3 months...
I ordered mine at £263 but my order still have an estimated delivery date of tomorrow.![]()
H1 improves by a lot over straight off iPod touch with a good dac/amp. It's worth the $149 usd to own.
Better or worse SQ wise than the xba series?H1 improves by a lot over straight off iPod touch with a good dac/amp. It's worth the $149 usd to own.
My H1's should arrive tomorrow, so I will get some first impressions up later tomorrow evening![]()
