SONY WH1000XM3 - better than QC35 in noise cancelling?

Thanks for the reply ! I really like the sound the true-fi app does on ios but it keeps asking me to authorize spotify and i cannot add songs to my library from there which is a bummer ... I am wondering what EQ settings in the sony app you would use to replicate true-fi’s sound ? I tried a few but it’s not as good ! Thanks a lot.
Try this

The clear bass boost seems unituative but it worked with the big dip on the lowest frequency slider and the other freduced faders and the final high frequency boost. Give that a try.

Hi ! Thanks ! I tried it but I listened to James Holden and it almost gave me nausea ... ! I think the bass is too strong for me and way far off true-fi ...

Did you do all the reductions as well as that true bas boost?

Boosting... the ClearBass setting? That sounds nuts. I’ll give it a try later but as best I can tell, the ClearBass setting pretty much controls the mid bass, bass, and sub bass, so it’s hard to imagine that changing any other sliders in the Sony app could compensate for that.

At any rate, here are the EQs I’ve been using for the Sony app (ClearBass -5), and for the Radsone app. There’s also a snapshot of the True-Fi app, so you can get a sense for how they intend the age-related bass boost (and slight treble bump) to help add some heft to the sound signature.

I like this setting better ! But I find the true-fi a bit better but I will take the sony. EQ over true-fi (for now ...) too many downsides : no lockscreen controls, no watch controls, add to library. Thanks for sharing.
