I've not been out in a gale, but given my 1 1/2 hours with them they were considerably better than the previous 2 versions, the Grado and Sennheiser I've owned.

But each to their own of course.

I wish there's an easy way to check the bitrate on iPhone. On a MacBook Air with Bluetooth 5.3, I found this line in the Console app which shows a fixed bitrate of 192Kbps (WF-1000XM5 set to Prioritize Sound Quality):

I bought the xm5s now. They said that they wherent getting the sennheiser tws3 back in stock :/. And since i had to use my refund for the broken tws3 in the store, i took the xm5s. Tried to get an good price,but the employee was impossible to get an deal with

I didn't use them for sport/training, but by shaking my head left and right I didn't feel like they'd come out at all. I used them for about 4 hours without taking them out of the ears and I didn't feel the need to adjust them or to push them back at all.

I like how the bass sounds on these buds, it feels more textured and like it goes lower. I wish they sounded as well as when ANC/ambient sound is off though.

By the way everyone, I may have to give them another listen, but the bass seemed the same when ANC or transparency mode was on, so maybe ANC isn't really causing this - or maybe in transparency mode it still cancels out the lows, so the driver's capacity for lows is limited again (as per my theory). Hopefully I am wrong and they'll improved upon this in a future firmware update.

So i havent tried the xm5s much yet. But i tested some different songs and also took an walk outside where i had an call to my brother.

The case was slippery. And the earbuds themself was also very slippery. I also struggled to place them correct in the case. They where comfortable though.

I adjusted the equlizer. Found an video on youtube with settings ( arongetsloud or something i think the channel is called ). And the sound was really good. But i might give the edge to Sennheiser mtw3. Their sound is just right up to my taste. But the xm5s was no dissapointment. The microphone/tlf call was good, but not great.

The anc was ok. But sadly, they didnt handle the wind so good. The Sennheisers was much better here.

Going to test them more tomorrow. But for now its a little mixed feeling, but mostly im positive.

Yes LDAV works with multipoint on.
Yes you can use one earbud only, just leave the other bud on the case

The gestures is something that I haven't tried, as i use my iphone with screen-reader as i'm blind
