lol I've actually heard the "Alex" pair. Definitely a top notch example of R10, and sublime with orchestral/classical. But I think the 009 at BHSE level is a much superior daily driver for me.

'used to have 3 R10s [bass lights] (all sold now). Somehow I'm happier with my Sony Z1R and ZMF Eikon and Hifiman HEKv2 (my top-of-the-heaps for now--all very musical and non-fatiguing).
Maybe the problem is that they were bass-lights, so they were sometimes shrill, but those were all I could get my hands on.
