It really looks interesting, and I was eying it for some time , esp. as it is being confirmed to dac/amp work with Galaxy S3 and Note 2 (my next purchase).

li-ion(?)... unless you want to break your Sony, I wouldn't try  getting the battery out... btw I've never heard of a Sony battery dying with a Walkman ain't happened to me.
