I don't seen any reason why it wouldn't work. Just make sure that it isn't an EU version or a Japanese version. The EU version has a volume limiter, while the Japanese version cannot be changed to English. I have the Korean model, which I assume is the general 'international' version, and it has multiple languages (including English) and no volume limiter.

Yes it has 12 language choices, including English. I bought it in South Korea. The Japanese model is only in Japanese however.

What am i doing now? 

I could get a new A15 for 150€ from Amazon and keep the extra 50€ 

I could get a new A25 for 200€ from Mediamarkt

A15 and A25 have the same SQ. A25 had noise cancelling feature. If you want that go for A25.

Sorry to hear the loss, how it happened? it didn't turn on or got an error? Fiio mmm I've read they got better in usability tan before (i had a first gen X3 LOL and that littel brick made my german man go mad haha) But i've read htey still ave smallish soundtage and SQ issues

Similar situation. Lookinmg for an upgrade. Tried DX80, QP1R, Plenue D, XZ-100, Opus #1 so far.....
ZX100 my favourite so far.....just need to try the Onkyo, but nobody has a demo unit. Dealers say
people by it anyhow like mad, so no need for them to stock a demo unit..

Right now i'm actually thinking about not buying a standalone player again. i have an iPhone 5 which sounds as good as the Sony A15. comparison wise this would mainly mean limitation in capacity, but on the other side having a touch screen, nicer gui and a non creaking device...using the a 15 often was quite annoying. maybe my next smartphone will be one with a microsd-slot then. or maybe i can live with "only" 30-50 albums on the device. The iPhone doesnt support 24bit files of course, but i am thinking about transcoding those few i have to redbook anyway, guess i'm done with the hi res hocus-pocus.

After a year+ I have been trying for an upgrade too but nothing quite did it for me- maybe some things that were bettter sounding but poorly featured or terribad UI & Firmware.

Maybe a good used deal on zx2 or 100 I will jump on, but for now will stick with A17 (also got an old sony phone for cheap, just to play w/ android software like  v4a since A10 can't EQ with ext dac)- and finally grabbed the NW10 cable so I can look at dac/amps instead. A17+C5D still more pocketable than a lot of DAP's, even with the clunky connector., though I kinda prefer that through line-out to preserve the Sony flavor
