Yeah, silicone. But I don't hear anything bright with other DAPs and those silicone eartips (Azla Crystal). The foam eartips will surely help but I usually can't stand it. I'll give a try to Symbio's
I'm looking on Ebay at a few Zx707 if the words High gain are in the settings does this mean it's uncapped. Are the words high gain in the UK/EU models just not active?

The manual says there is a beep and you can cancel it, but the main issue is there is no high gain in the menu for the US model, and the specifications only mention a maximum power output of 0.4-1.1mW (32Ω), which is no where near what it should be, like the Japanese version which is 50mW+50mW (3.5mm) and 230mW+230mW (Balanced).
This post lists all the countries with high gain enabled and those with no high gain.
EU version : NO high gain
US version : NO high gain Japan version : High gain
Singapore version : NO high gain Malaysian version : High gain
Hong Kong version : High gain
Canada version : NO high gain
I bought mine on eBay through Eureka Moments “eureka-_-moments” back in Oct 2023 and I only have good things to say about their service/shipping. It’s an uncapped Japan version.

I'm thinking of picking up a ZX707 but have a few questions that I can't seem to answer browsing this and other threads.
1) I have a 600gb mp3/flac library with extensive playlists, currently saved locally on PC as mbp files (MusicBee) but convertible to m3u. If I copy the entire library to an SD card will these be readable AND editable within Sony Music Player on the DAP? I.e. I can both play and continue to add to the playlists from my library through the ZX707?
2) It's an age since I've used Sony Music Center, but if the answer to (1) is 'yes' and I can continue to edit m3u playlists through Sony Music Player, is there a way to plug the DAP back into my PC once in a while and then (a) sync the libraries so that new music from my PC is transferred to the ZX707, following the same folder and file system from Windows, and (b) sync the playlists so that the updated m3u files on the ZX707 can be transferred FROM the Sony TO my PC?
Basically I want to keep the master library on my PC, but be able to edit my playlists through the DAP and occasionally back up the edited playlists in the PC master library.
At the moment my mobile access to this library is through Cloudplayer, but I have to keep manually updating my playlists in my main library, and more importantly - I'm sick of my Android phone resampling my audio. (UAPP fine but cannot easily access my Cloudplayer playlists.)
Oh and the final question... the Sony DAPs don't suffer from stock Android resampling -- r...right?
Sony DAPS don't resample with the native Walkman Player, but all other apps are resampled to either 16/48 or 32/192 depending on the High-Res streaming setting.
