After A/B ing both device this few days i can surely say Hiby is more heavily colored but how they color the sound is amazing. I also find Hiby have better Soundstage and layering also the ability to reproduce the imagination of a room where the band is playing is very great. But if you are a long listener imo 707 is great it almost sound like R2R type of sound it is musical and quite enjoyable for long listening. Sony is less colored IMO. My curiosity got the best of me and i update to the new firmware. The new firmware sound better IMO but i dont know why it sound a bit shouty.
You are able to save different EQ profiles and load them as you wish, as far as how many I’m not sure if there is a limit, currently I only have two different ones in my own right now.
Well so today i use the EQ on ZX707 and i reduce the 2K frequency by half step and the shoutiness is gone totally(now i understand my ear more) and i can enjoy this walkman more now it is very musical and unique. Still IMO it lack power for my IEM compared to when i used full size amp or other flagship DAP. But Sony SQ definitely is different from others it is not totally colorless but almost. Definitely you can listen for long time with Sony and just enjoy the music.
Hello
came my 707 high gain
I compare the sound of Fiio m15. lighter sound and plays right in the head. Fiio m15 plays as if in front of you.
I don’t know which is better, but m15 is very hot, 707 is cold.
I'll leave 707, I have the Japanese version.
