Hello friends of audiophile music,

I really like my Sony NW-ZX507 too. It sounds fantastic with the Sony MDR-1AM2, Denon AH-D7200 and even with the OneOdio Pro 30, which is very cheap... But also on all my other headphones the Sony NW-ZX507 makes an absolute top figure...

Not if you don't need the extra driving power and using 3.5mm. I'd even go so far as to say A105 edges it via 3.5mm if power is enough for your IEM's/headphones.

For the stepped improvement you need to make use of the 4.4mm balanced.

i use bluetooth ldac buds mostly, $400 differance is it worth it and is sound quality going to be better? i only use sd card with hi-res audio on it.

BT buds = DAC in buds. I will think DAP wont make much difference.

M11 pro is inferior to the Plus - it's next tier up sq wise (and faster os/processor). The Plus I found more musical and pleasant plus technically superior. It still a studio neutral precision machine though for the most part. If the Pro is a BMW the Plus is a Merc. The ZX507 is a Renault Clio Sport (lot of fun maybe more so than the Germans, but.. )
I own both the Zx507 and the M15 while I love the zx507 the M15 slays it when it comes to power and driving a wider variety of headphones and IEMs plus the detail and bass on the M15 is insane compared to the Zx507 but... If I'm leaving the house to listen I always pick up the Zx507

Putting aside driving power, how do their DACs compare if used with sensitive or normal IEMs? Is the M15 coherent, pleasant like the zx507?
I'm mostly interested in max sound quality, raw power is not important for me as I mostly use IEMs... I'd rather more current and headroom than loudness for example (class a)

the buds don't have a built in dac

The buds are receiving audio data via BT, and then they have to convert that data to analog signals using a Digital to Analog Converter (DAC).

The M15 is warm In a similar way but with more detail and deeper bass
