If you can't get into recovery there probably isn't a fix. Last ditch effort would be to connect to a computer USB port overnight...

Tbh the fact that it doesn't automatically turn itself on when connected to USB is already concerning. Basically it refuses to stay off when it's plugged in.

Same thing happened to me a few weeks ago, it would turn on even when plugged in. But I got it to work when I just held the power on button until the Sony logo appeared...

literally until the screen turned on, I didn't really count sorry But it was longer than usual. Normally it took me 2-3 seconds but that time I had to hold it down for quiet some time.
