Has anyone found a good app to adjust balance? The 507 doesn’t have a balance control which is inexplicable to me. I’m looking for a simple app that offers balance, I don’t need all the other capabilities that the most popular android apps offer. Thanks for any ideas.
No, and it will never be. It is not possible on the 3700€ WM1ZM2 either.
But there is nothing to worry about. The upscaling wont affect the sound quality, it pretty much only affects the battery life. The upsclaing wastes a lot of power without gaining any sound quality.
You're only loosing sound quality when you're listening to >32/192 files.
I have the capped version so would be very interested in hearing how much difference the cap makes. Surprisingly mine drives my full sized Denon AH-D7200 and Sony MDR-1A with ease, I just have to push the volume to between 85 and 90, my Moondrop Starfield IEMs need just a bit less.
Yes, I sometimes think this obsession for the high gain output version is unnecessary unless one plans to use higher impedance, less sensitive headphones. For the majority of IEMs, the 507 without high gain (either output) is plenty of power. With that said, I bought a Japanese version too because of the high gain, so I learned a lesson.

really? IEMs have a low impedance and high sensitivity, so you must have some outliers in your collection or you like to listen at high volume levels. Anyway, best to you and your journey.
Having received and used the Japanese uncapped version compared to my British capped version there is substantial difference not only in the volume an iem that was still under powered at 120 is driven fully at 80 on the un capped version. The actual sound signature is more to my tastes.
