i want to see a more powerful amp section tought i'm fine with the current 15mW but yeah too low, if they want more battery life, stick a bigger battery, f.e 20,000 or more mAh

Personally prefer the zx100 over the zx2. Wouldn't outright say one is better than the other. More like a signature preference.

I do agree depends on the musical tastes, headphones and overall signature preferences, while i like both warm and "analytic", i do lean more towards detailed than thick sound

For Oldies type rock and pop muisc, what do you feel would be better-zx100 or A-17/27 series?

Maybe too ZX100 lean signature i find oldies rock/pop to be just like classical where you need details and microdetails

If you like details. Perhaps the zx2 will suits u more

for that i would need to show a swiss army knife or a gun to a rich dude, steal a bank, steal a house, rob a car to gett he money for a zx2

In this sony classical album i got a cool conclusions masterings are different... sony classical (re)master of allegro from concerto for two violins in D minor, is brighter than the original by CBS Masterworks which i have the complete album dont remmeber the date of CBS one but this one is from 1994

EDIT:

CBS Masterworks (Original): 1990 -  Full work BWV 1043 and also BWV 1060
Sony Classical Greatest Hits Bach REMASTER: 1994 only allegro from BWV 1043

CBS sounds Darker and bassier than the sony remaster
my 2 favourite classical at the moment are BSO version of the planets that I got 24/96, Mars is just angry on it - and a modern one, the interstellar soundtrack, both sound amazing on your rig (I have the same player and my on the go 'phones are xba-h3) although the bass is better on the home stereo (even if that does shake the whole street  )
