SONY NW-ZX100

Luckily there are some metal records published in HiRes (I've got some Gojira and others in HD tracks for trying) also even a lot of underground bands are taking care of production. The bad side is that the majority of my collection are in the raw and dirty sound side.
I love piano recordings and Chopin is always in my play list (bought some albums in HD tracks too). So if I get some improvement as you mentioned I will update to ZX100 because have found it at 349 Euros.
Moreover, I think that LDAC will help a little when wireless pay (z3 lacks of it)

Regarding the stalepie comment, but sound is not produced/sent by the DAP? Although later it goes through headphones' DAC (sorry if this sentence is senseless, but I am new in this worl)

Just keep in mind that the ZX100 does not have digital output like the zx300. I've failed to connect mine to any standalone DAC. Also, you can use the zx300 as a standalone DAC. So, in this sense the zx100 is typically a hi quality walkman.

This is not true! Sony ZX100 does have digital output through the WM Port, using the appropriate WMC-NWH10 USB conversion cable.

Hi, can anyone tell if this can be used as a DAC as well? Like can I use it as a DAC for my laptop as well?

No, unlike the new ZX300 it can not be used as external DAC.

Just seen a teardown of nw-zx100 , it uses a 1500 man battery, same capacity as the successor model nw-zx300, but the battery life seems to significantly longer on nw-zx100 at 45 hours for flac files, but only 26 hours on nw-zx30 with flac files, presumably, the new features such as balanced output, higher resolution screen, mqa compatibility means it uses more power than nw-zx100

that's great for people who have high impedance headphones,
Not only that, but also multi-driver or hybrid IEMS. ZX100 with just 15mW didn't drive my XBA-Z5 to spectacular levels as does my WM1A on SE, of course now i use them balanced and they sound great. i do engage H gain with Z5 and they feel effortless, properly driven. and they are only 32-ohm but having 3-drivers

hello, anyone tried nw-a30 or 35? How much difference against zx 100 or 300? Price differs a lot. Do they only differ in features - more memory, more battery life or do they also differ a lot in sound quality?
