the cool thing too is buying it in Japan, when you get back home you can say "I got mine in Japan" lol.  Joking aside the only trouble I have ever had with my f886 being in Japanese is using the key pad to type something.  My Hiragana is atrocious at best, but I am learning.  I also find it interesting to use as a learning tool for the language as well.  On a side note did anyone notice that sony.ca are using another service called gentec to purchase their goods?  Is this the same in the U.S.A ? I was curious because when I was looking into the zx2 it says on the gentec site that "this item may be placed on back order".  So I have no idea if it is available or not.

cheers

The other day i was thinking after my guy told me that the UK is not isnide the EU *technically* so i was wondering if the UK walkmans have that dreaded volume cap?

EDIT: His mistake he meant not inside schengen area but then yes then UK walkmen have volume cap

I find it interesting the Japanese store lists ZX100 at a bit less than 67000 yen, or around $555, almost half the ZX2 list price (about 120000 yen, or around $995). I find it hard that it would be a direct replacement, but maybe the ZX2 will be discounted once the ZX100 is officially available. Till now I'm thinking this is more a lower tier player (ala the AK Jr to AK240), rather than a new flagship. Would love to be able to demo it for myself once it gets here (which is ironic, since it's actually made here...)

It's available for pre-order from Sony in China for 3500 RMB, which is approx. $550 USD as well.

i am just going to import mine ...maybe an asian or the japanese version...i just cannot stand the volume cap on sony players in the UK  its like it sucks the life out of the sound...I had both uk and japanese version of the A15 there was a big difference in sound..
