Nope, not even Onkyo DP-X1 is going to dethrone the Zx2. Please do tell me, what DAP is out there for a cheaper price, and can perform as well as zx2 ? I am tired of hearing people running their mouth without proof or even owning one.

It's like comparing Copin being played by a master lie Pollini, Zimmerman, Ashkenazy on a modern grand with great rythm Vs a chopin played on period-instruments (while its nice) and unknown pianists to make even worse horridble rythm and peace

3 of a kind sony players all quite good from left sony NWZ1060, ZX100 and A17...i was comparing the NWZ1060 with the ZX100 just for fun ..ZX100 is a massive step up in sound... the bass on the X1060 has no impact at all and there is no great soundstage to it...the ZX100 is a better bass impact its more articulated plus the vocals has more presence its like its right in front of you and the treble is better extended a much more detailed player ...
But there are things i like about the X1060 i love the buttons better i like the touch and feel of them unlike the clicky ZX100 buttons ..plus the oled and touch screen is just great i wish the ZX100 had them ..

Agree a ZX100 with the x1060 form (exclude weird finish), touch screen, buttons at the top or sides a la zx2, microSd slot, revamped sony OS to look like android music app, 256GB lash, 150mw per channel at the expense of less battery life

we can only dream
