Just updated the firmware to 1.06. The high gain option is still there. Mine is a Singapore version. Good to go.

Well the capacitor matured even the system reset. It still sounds greatI hope you don't need to do a factory reset anytime soon!

True enough...some will see the # of hours as "flexing" rights (Not saying you're one of them) or some really wants to keep track. Hard reset brings this "eye candy" back to 0.

One question for the hardcore users
1zm2
I noticed that when i crunk up volume to 120 (low gain) , after 1 sec there is a fast very slight drop of volume.
Can you test it too?

Does the volume number actually change from 120? Do you have any DSP features enabled, as these may lower the level to prevent clipping. One question for the hardcore users

What in-ear and over-ear headphones do you recommend for the wm1am2? Here in my country, Mexico, there are many models that are not available, except for the mdr1am2 and mdr-z7m2.
No problem if they recommend something low cost.

The Sennheiser IE600 and 64 Audio U4s are my recommendations for in-ears.What in-ear and over-ear headphones do you recommend for the wm1am2? Here in my country, Mexico, there are many models that are not available, except for the mdr1am2 and mdr-z7m2.

Can you comment on the 1AM2 + U4S pairing? I'm thinking of getting the U4S too.The Sennheiser IE600 and 64 Audio U4s are my recommendations for in-ears.

I posted several impressions I have regarding the U4s on the 64 Audio Head-Fu forum. Please use this link to read them if you like. Can you comment on the 1AM2 + U4S pairing? I'm thinking of getting the U4S too.

I purchased the U4s x iFi Go Pod bundle. My cable of choice to pair with the U4s is the Eros S from Effect Audio. My DAP is the WM1AM2. I am thoroughly enjoying the U4s with my DAP. I expected the U4s to have a great bass response and it certainly delivers. I didn’t expect the separation and detail retrieval to be just as impressive. The vocals are a tad bit recessed with the U4s compared to my all BA 64 Audio V3s, but the clarity outshines the V3s by a long mile. I absolutely love it!

Hi all, sorry I'm a bit late to the 1AM2/1ZM2 party. What full-size headphones are popular pairing with these two DAPs? Does either pair with well with the MDR-Z1R. I am coming from the ZX300 uncapped model with the Mr. Walkman firmware upgrade and it's really nice/lush/smooth but as soon as I plug my MDR-Z7m2 (I own these - I lust after the Z1Rs) headphones the sound gets warmer. I would appreciate any one on the forum who has tried either DAP with the Z1R headphones to comment.
Apologies for the influx of questions.

How long does the battery last, for me it is lasting between 15 to 17 hours, average use 7 to 8 hours per day.
Depends on usage..if you have sound processing on or DSD upsampling then the battery will be close to your experience. How long does the battery last, for me it is lasting between 15 to 17 hours, average use 7 to 8 hours per day.
Also depends if you are using local file vs streaming. Do you keep screen On etc.
