What about charging it with laptop usb?
Laptop USB 2.0 is limited to 500mA. Some ports are non-standard and may have higher current.
It will work, just takes a long time. Plus the USB power may shut off when the Laptop goes to sleep.
Laptop USB ports are meant for low power accessories, and not as a high current charger. Extended high current use can burn out the USB port.
Would you rather replace a cheap AC charger, or repair an expensive laptop?

It makes no sense to me, but each user can decide for themselves.

I actually own both the 1ZM2 and DX320 with AMP11 Mk2 (just collected my unit yesterday). I have to say DX320 doesn’t come close to 1ZM2 when it comes to details and technicality. The things that DX320 did much better is the power. With high gain in 1ZM2 I still need about 100 volume to drive my Meze Empyrean, but on the DX320 high gain, I barely hit 60 volume. But again, detail, clarity and technicality it’s a different league altogether.
Just starting this entire thread, did a quick search, and wondering compared to my DX320 (with Amp11 and Amp13)

Wondering how the WM1AM2 compares to the DX320. Anyone compared?

Well, why go through all that troubles for battery ? Sony stuff has battery to last forever, even PlayStation controllers lol!! And my Zx2 still kicking after many years. Also Sony parts will always stay available until they drop the whole Walkman thing

Agreed with you except the "last forever" haha :beerchug: . Based on my experience, batteries in Sony DAPs are very good when compared with the others because of:
- High quality.
- Has a battery care feature.
- The playback time is so loooong, so fewer charge cycles for its life.
- Do not produce much heat during playback.
And 1 more thing, it is a global company that has service centers around the world that could help replace the battery if needs.
So just enjoy your Walkman

Which slow charging brick is the best? There have been conversations about charging bricks here but they all involved fast charging ones like Apple or Anker chargers. I am interested to know which slow charging brick is the best. Would it Apple's one too?
I use a 15W brick from an old Samsung mobile.

The max volume of the dx320 is not 64? So you ear it at 60/64 and the 1zm2 at 100/120and you say that dx is much powerfull than the 1zm2? In paper yes ,in real life ? Yes???....

Quite opposite to my impression to both units spare the power part. People really do hear differently.

DX320x to my ears is side grade to 1ZM2 technicality is about the same and details even in favor of DX320x. The thing that 1ZM2 do better subjectively is more organic overall tonal compared to AMP11mk2 but not completely true when DX320x switch to AMP14.

Thing that Sony doing better or even much better is Battery life and lifespan as well as quality of craftmanship. DX320x feel kinda cheap when hold hand in hand next to 1ZM2.

And seem like every reputable reviewers/members also think the same. That they are side grade to each other.
