Not worthless, its still worth way more than £200 IMO. If its in "as new" condition I'd start at £750 and consider offers below that as they come (list in Head-fi forums to start with and ebay). It can still be used perfectly fine with easy to drive IEM's.

OK please stop the bidding war I think I will take @psikey's advice and list it for £750 sometime over the next week.
The Poly/Mojo2 with case was £1000 so if I can get 3/4 of the price of those I will be happy.

Just as an extra comment, I had a UK 1AM2 & 1ZM2 before importing and they still drove my SE846, FD7, K10U to loud enough levels without going near 120/120

I didn't want to restart the whole, not enough power thing again but yes I agree. A couple to add to the list, Beyerdynamic T5p Gen 2 and DCA Aeon Closed (just about IMHO)
Mojo 2 will easily drive everything I currently own which is odd because that is a UK/EU product built in the UK with enough power to rattle my teeth out.

The SE846 is easy to drive though isn't it (I have one), the issue is hissing on any DAPs that are too powerful (eg. QP2R).
Does the castrated A2 drive the IER Z1R well?

Got M9 not the Z1R and only got my M9's after a sent the capped Sony DAP's back. On an uncapped baby Sony A307 I'm at 70-75/120 with my M9's and its normally a 20 volume step reduction from my experience so should be 95/120 for M9 via capped 3.5mm so I'd imagine Z1R will be a bit more demanding but should still be driveable I'd think.

Just to keep all set here there is a similar thread where some people would like to confirm that 707 is on par with 1AM2. I just had my favourite music released on Spotify (friday is the release day!). First I had my shuffle-rollercoaster-hours on 707 than switched to this beast just to clarify that 1AM2 is a year away to its finest

Without reading this long long thread, I am familiar enough with the first version of this flagship Sony Walkman that I only need to know two things for this Gen 2 version: Does the “Live DAC Mode” have any audio delay when used to watch a movie with a laptop via usbc? That’s why I bought a Lootoo PAW Gold Touch last time. And does the OS have any major issues?

How do you know that you have a model with volume capped? Is it a setting ?
