Does anyone know how to see how much playing time on each output? Did the new firmware get rid of that? I don’t see it anymore in settings about device.

Adding to the earlier @Andricop posts with some photos of the Dignis case I just received. Also adding photos of the Dignis black case and a fun photo of the much earlier Dignis Sony case for the 1Z. The new cases fit like gloves, just super quality. I do miss the orange button from the prior case, but don't think the new Sony's geometry allows it.

Just realized that the M2 model isn't called a walkman case anymore, just a "Cassete Player" with no mention of Sony on it.
I guess they no longer feel the need to pay for licensing and thought making the new model have similar color and association with M1's first run is enough for people to associate it as a Walkman case.
If so they better make it not as a limited model, it just look charming and I like it.

You used Bluetooth for burning in?
Nope, actually I have been following this thread since April, someone did suggest 2 hrs bluetooth music listening and 20 hrs burn in with cable, I simply followed his advice, works great. But with dsp on, hoping the dsp get burn in too, I can only do 2 hrs bluetooth listening and 8hrs burn in with cable.

You do appreciate 'burn in' is about conditioning (aging) the capacitors in the 3.5 and 4.4mm amp circuits and therefore nothing to do with BT as the amp is in the ear/headphones?

Using the Walkman vs smartphone say over 'quality' LDAC BT is identical and just using the device as a source for the dac/amp in the ear/head phones.

Actually Bluetooth quality is affected not only by the codec but also clocking and other factors (codec bitrate/ android stack implementation).

Indeed both the Hiby RS6 and to a lesser extent the ZX507 sound better than z flip 3 (all ldac set highest quality via developer configuration). Its not a night and day difference but its there, essentially shows as warmer and more composed quality.

Haven't tested the new Sony daps but I'm sure they'll also be good.

Also there's no such things as Bluetooth or DSP burn, please don't waste your time with that. Focus on wired burnin only

I never hear any difference with my WF-1000XM4's, BTR5 with any IEM's or my KEF LS50WII speakers ensuring same codec and bitrate, i.e. LDAC 900mbps or lower AAC so long as comparing like for like on BT codec and bitrate.

My 1AM2 vs my Samsung using LDAC Best (900mbps) sounds same with my WF-1000XM4's or using my BTR5 with IER-M9 or K10U, FD7 for example.

I don't use BT with with 1AM2, I use my S21. Same when I had an Xperia 1 III.

I hear more calmness/warmth with ZX507 vs Samsung LDAC 900mbps. Wf1000xm4, ifi gryphon.

Samsung processes the audio through android layer/mixer (48khz) before it hits Bluetooth - there's some deterioration there. Sony ZX507 doesn't if via the music player app - you can notice by how it can change the LDAC sample rate automatically depending on the source file. Samsung can't change sample rate (tested different players)

Can, enable developer options. Easier on Xperia.

Or, its me and my ears 🙂

Note: for the Sony WF-1000XM4's the Sony app you use with them can directly select Quality vs Stable connection option without using developer options.

You can also us BT via UAPP to bypass any Android audio shenanigans.

Does anyone notice some dark patches on the screen especially on white backgrouns top of screen (probably uneven back-light related)? I'm surprised to see this - it not extreme but I haven't seen this issue on phones in a long time. I'm mulling whether to try and return it but I'm worried they will say its within "acceptable" parameters. Its difficult to unsee once seen and gives me a bad taste considering how costly it is. I thought Sony quality control was better
