Or Regional? Mine is Japanese Market version and went fine.
My Australian delivered went through no problem. Seems a bit less laggy? Apple Music seems to be more responsive.

Anyone connected the M2 to an aptX adaptive compatible Bluetooth speaker/headphone/DAC? Did both devices switch to aptXHD? Mine sticks with simple aptX.

I don't think it has adaptive, but you should be able to switch between standard aptX and aptXHD in developer options (with compatible devices)

No, an explicit switch to aptXHD in the M2's developer options is not possible. It's grayed out.

That means the device your connected to doesn't support aptXHD, unfortunately.
That's the point I'm about to check with their support. At the moment, they state it does support aptXHD. We will see 🤷🏼‍♂️

Or Sony didn't pay Qualcomm the extra licensing cost for aptxHD and its not a Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU in the Sony? Does Sony specifically list apxHD ?

Just looked up and its not above as it shows support

Supported Codecs (Transmission)SBC, LDAC, aptX, aptX HD, AAC

Yes, aptXHD is supported by the M2. And mine does fine with a different aptXHD capable device.

Support of Bang Olufsen (speaker), not Sony 😉

Everything I've got is LDAC so thats all I use. My KEF LS50WII and LSX speakers are HD streaming via ethernet anyway so never use BT with them.
