This is normal behavior. I'm not sure how the Sony OS DAPs behave, but for the Android based ones they cannot charge and be powered at the same time. They behave the same as any smartphone in this regard.

Commencing burn-in! Uncle Wilson finally came thru with my set~

*2hrs in took a peak on the R10, hot damn. Even tho Apple Music isn't bit perfect on it, I'm loving the dark background and beautiful bass.. do I really need 200hrs?

Any other streaming users with recommended settings? I have hi-res streaming enabled, DSEE on and that's it..

Me too. Same with only dsee, no equalizer needed. But I turn on DC phase too.

I have been burning for 1 month, still not hit 200hrs. Only using the walkman app for playing music, it will be counted.

Does anyone can confirm if using streaming music is also consider burning in?

As long as u are playing sound out.. the built in counter is only able to track songs played via the Walkman app so if u only stream it will always show 0hrs.. don’t worry about it and keep using it

After hitting 60hrs mark, I really find the sound much better. Initially when brand new, it really sound .... hmm ..no smooth.

Congrats! Enjoy! I have the vinyl processor on as well. Try it. It’s an interesting DSP.

You should also try the IER Z1R. @Uncle Wilson should be able to find you a pair. He had new batch come in recently but not sure if they are still available.

Burning in cable, player and acoustune 1790ti (not in photo) this month ... at the same time.

Do get a remote for the player l, it make it so much easy and less tiring to use.
