Actually for all the existing 1A/1Z owners, do you guys frequently alternate and use both outputs? I pretty much use just the 4.4 out and put a dust cover on my 3.5 port. I don't really have a use for it since I already have almost everything terminated in 4.4.
Well I have many IEMs in 4.4mm, still there may be a few that sound a little better in 3.5mm output? But you should try at least to discover if you ever have an affinity for a regular used IEM in 3.5mm? At times the sound is less aggressive and is just different across the board. Though big DD always are better with 4.4mm. At times a "buzzy" BA set will be different in 3.5mm?

Same on any DAP/DAC I've had, only use balanced now. I do test 3.5mm when I get a new device. I have a BTR5 and the balanced with all my IEM's is noticeably superior to the 3.5mm

Funny thing I found when I had a A107 and a ZX507 at the same time, both Japanese imports, is that the 3.5mm in the A107 sounded nicer than that on the ZX507! But the ZX507 balanced was best. Of course the A107 has no balanced so all efforts were focused on its 3.5mm.
Mojo/Hogo2 are both considered excellent but no Balanced.

I almost never use 3.5mm. My Z1R comes with a 4.4 cable, why not use it? The 3.5mm cable is also absurdly long, and I would have to keep it tied in a coil to use with my WM1A.
Amazon.co.jp is pretty much your only bet. If you want to ship a Hong Kong or Singaporean set, you pretty much must use a forwarder. I wouldn't purchase a Chinese set of the WM1ZM2 due to the lack of Google Play Services.
Is the $4199 USD confirmed as MSRP for USA? It just seems insanely expensive but it wouldn’t surprise me. I was already performing some olympic level mental gymnastics trying to entertain the possibility of purchasing the 1ZM2 but the sticker shock at $4k+ before taxes is sobering. It might even be cheaper to just get a WM1Z and send it in to be modded lol

Thanks but it seems that Amazon JP does not sell the 1ZM2 overseas.
The device doesn't even come up in the searches if you select an overseas shipping destination (the 1AM2 does and can be shipped) and if you chose a Japanese address and select the 1ZM2 as soon as you switch to an overseas address it tells you that it's out of stock

It's just sold out. Can't order in Japan either, not Amazon at least. This usually means out of stock available for preorder. I've tried it today for giggles, couldn't ship with in Japan and Amazon doesn't restrict by IP, ever (except prime services)

Amazon.jp clearly restrict by destination address what we can see. Otherwise, for video and music services, amazon restrict by IP (even if we are behind some VPN (japanese or not), loads of VPN's IP are blocked by Amazon)
