I easily get 30 hours using Direct local WAV 16-bit 44.1khz on the Walkman app. Thankfully my favourite way to listen.

My AM2 serial number is 100000X. I'm a little too proud of that. I wonder if that's North America or just Canada. Also wonder what it's up to now, eh?

Including 227 hours on 3.5mm, I'm about to reach 1000 hours :)

1 is always at the beginning. See other people offering their Sony. You can see worldwide the same number structure with the 1 at the beginning.

Okay that's really cool (to me). I pre-ordered on June 14 from thesonyshop.ca due to a post from this thread showing up on my Google feed (which never happened before). I didn't even know the M2's existed yet. - I was aware of the M1's release, but it was financially and psychologically impossible to spend over $1000 at the time, and spent years lamenting my fomo - When I read about the M2's, the day after their NA press release, I didn't hesitate, pre-ordered paid in full in under 15 minutes. Ridiculous decision that I don't regret for a second. Shipped on July 8, finally received it July 12. And serial number 100000X ended up in Canada and I have it? That's really cool to me :)

Sorry for my excessive sometimes needless posting. I'm ready to admit I'm addicted to Head-Fi. If I can't control my consumption (and it seems I can't - I was supposed to get Honeydew's), then I only see two possibilities: I quit Head-Fi, or get the ZM2 then MDR-Z1R and a cable, and another Swissbit (YES!), and find a blue patina (AJ sold out).

I'll post some pics in four months :)

I'm totally fine now. Sound mind. I'll wait for my Sony ep-ni1000 foam tips to arrive this week to compare to Comply on my IER's, give them some time to break in, and I'll be just fine :)

Thank you! Hundreds hit the market in April, I got mine in July. Strange to get such a low number :)

Based off nothing, I'm guessing they made 5000 AM2's in the first year, and maybe 3000 ZM2's?

No, the USB is digital out, so the WM1AM2 will act only as a Transport to the external DAC. The DAC function is handled by the external DAC
