certainly cheaper than an IER-Z1R... would have gotten the ThieAudio Monarch MkII if I didn't get the Z1R. but I could not audtion it and would have had to buy blind.

I only switch on DSEE these days... and sometimes the Normalizer.
the Z1R requires a bit more in volume, about 75 onwards.

Btw, anybody know if "High-Res streaming" option under Sound settings bypasses Android 11 SRC downsampling?

*** EDIT *** answered already, everything gets upsampled to 192kHz/32b with High-Res Streaming enabled.

I just went on audio46’s website where I preordered the AM2 and noticed they took the preorder down for both the ZM2 and AM2..I wonder what that means. I would assume they can’t take any more preorders at this point as they don’t know how many units they will actually get. I’m hoping that’s the reason. I didn’t get any email saying my preorder was cancelled so….

The new walkmans are no longer listed on their site, they were taken down due to the pre-orders. They expect to receive the walkmans in mid june, they keep moving this date, at this pace it will be late summer. I am close to just ordering a TA-ZH1ES for now, I lost all hope of getting the 1Zm2 anytime soon.

My Micron card from Mouser arrived very quickly. As it's industrial does this mean it can be formatted more than times than ordinary micro cards? Filling it now, 25mb/s on average.

I have never been able to get over that nasty “Slowly charging” notification when charging.
Tried stock supplied cable as well as other cables, several different chargers from PC to high current output.
I also noticed it drops 2% of battery when streaming a song from Apple music or Spotify with EQ on.
Am I the only one experience this slow charging and fast dropping battery issue here?

I haven’t tried the KR5 with it yet. The XE6 is a very warm IEM and I hear the M2 to have a smidge of warmth too. Personally, I like it. But I do find the XE6 to pair better with brighter and more revealing sources like the N8ii.

Nope, I’m not sensing any power issues here. My most power hungry IEM by far, the Elysian Annihilator, sounded fantastic from the M2. When the Annihilator is underpowered it sounds like the sound is sort of collapsing on itself, no issues with that here.

I can't generally on my ZX507 when a new card is formatted in the player, before once a card sounded 'off' before it was formatted. So far with the Micron card I imagine (can't say definitely) details are standing out slightly more and the music generally sounds slightly better layered, 'clean' (enhanced) and airy both noticeable. There's something which I'm struggling to find the right words for - coherency, a richness? But without spending considerable time A-B'ing wouldn't want to say the differences are there. I'm very happy how the music sounds if that means anything. Could be placebo of course because I've got a new make of card that cost $100.
