  Is there any way to show the clock in the main UI?
It's funny that you have to set the clock at the beginning but it's not even shown in the end.

Was wondering the same thing. Apparently its only use so far is to track how much audio has been played (Settings > Unit Information)

I see a lot of Walkman USB cables out there, do they all work with USB DAC or do I need the Sony one?
 
Also, do you by any chance have the part number for the Sony dedicated digital out cable?

Reminds me to ask, will the A30 series control volume over WMC-NWH10 cable USB OTG connection? This is a problem for me with the A17, can only use with dac/amps that have their own volume control.

Even from the JPN site the update fails miserably with an error:

"Update wlll be terminated because the firmware data has collapsed. Redownload the program. Error Code: -60002"

Needless to say redownloading didn't help.

Is there a fix for this? Having the same issue.

Edit: Only OS X up to 10.11 is supported. What Sony!

+1 on the Media Go! When I first got my A36HN I used Media Go to transfer my music (BTW, you have to use Media Go to scan your library for the Sense Me channels). With the device connected it automatically found available firmware upgrade and asked if I wanted to install it. Click yes and done. Simple and easy.

Converting FLAC and other albums in lossless formats to lossy AAC for gapless
playback (with no pauses) on players Sony series A10, A20, A30, ZX100. All tags and
album art will be stored.

What is it for? To reduce the file size. Also on the less lossy formats
spents less battery. Gapless is an ability play entire albums without pauses. Vivid examples -
concert recordings, Pink Floyd's albums. The Sony players does not play gapless MP3.
Sony players are able to play gapless FLAC and ALAC, which take up a lot
space. Or AAC, which we will prepare. AAC format is a further development of
MP3, is virtually indistinguishable from the FLAC and ALAC. Files take 3-4 times less
memory than FLAC. So, we'll spend 10 minutes to be able to put in the Sony player memory
three times more music albums and audiobooks and play them gapless.

How we do it:
1. Foobar will convert in all albums in the AAC. Every album in your file.
2. Cut the M4Acut utility file on the tracks.

What we need (everything in the archive https://yadi.sk/d/fYwLTC1m32wcC7 ):
1. A wonderful player Foobar 2000
This assembly «foobar2000 by Audiophile». I just added a configuration in it
«QAAC Optimal 256" - the optimal parameters for encoding in AAC, will continue
I understand why it is needed. Foobar2000 folder is copied in the "My Documents".
Run foobar2000.exe later. This is portable version of Foobar. You
can use any version of Foobar. In this case, the parameters for QAAC: Extension - m4a.
Parameters - -s -V 113 --ignorelength - -o % d. You can also use FAAC or other encoder.
In this case, iTunes is not needed.
2. Apple iTunes. Its components will be invoked by QAAC plugins for Foobar.

3. M4Acut Utility that cuts the files on the album tracks for gapless:
M4Acut.exe be copied to a folder C: \ Windows , to be able to run it from any folder.
4. My CMD file «split.cmd», which we will launch at the end. It will call M4Acut,
which will split all the albums of entire library at once to gapless tracks.

Steps:
0. Make a copy of your library, remove from it all lossy: MP3, AAC (MP4), etc. It is better to find
them again in the FLAC and encode again.
1. Prepare the FLAC library so that all tags and cover (album art) were
placed in the files themselves, and not taken from CUE files. Delete all files from the
library except FLAC (cue and jpg also).
2. Open the library folder (not file) in Foobar:
3. Select all the albums. Press Ctrl + A. Then right-click on any song,
Convert, then the string "...":
4. Select the profile QAAC Optimal 256 by double-clicking to encode to AAC, go
in Destination:
5. Select the folder in which we will have music encoded in AAC, press the Back:
6. Click Convert, wait until all the albums will convert.
7. Copy the folder that we have indicated in step 5 script split.cmd.
8. Run split.cmd by double-click, wait for 5-30 seconds, until the only one
window left, press any key:

Our library is ready for transfer to Sony , which we mentioned in Step 5 to the player
Sony.

In order to extend the library with new gapless AAC files Do the steps 1-8 from the beginning. Do
Not forget to run script split.cmd at the end! Then just copy library entirely in the player, skipping
files which are already in it there (skip all, when Windows asks).

Got one for Christmas, thanks to the wifey. Hehe.

Anyways, the BT sold me to this unit as I have an AKG Y50BT that I can now pair with a good DAP. SQ is great but volume level is lower than that of the X5ii (thats a given).
