Does the MDR-XB70BT support LDAC?  I haven't compared models but I do recommend LDAC to take advantage of the better sound quality offered by the A30 series.

I think it doesn't, but higher models like mdr-ex750bt supports LDAC.
I will use them for listening english lesson, audio books on the road (they are all 64 kbps), so sound quality isn't important to me, but thanks for the advice

I'm surprised you would say that.  Everyone know right angle connectors ruin the sound quality.  The signal bends too sharply and loses coherence and focus in the tight bend.  Straight connectors are the only way to go and make sure to keep at least a 1.5" radius on all bends in the cable to avoid sonic degradation.

Just to confirm the rockbox volume hack works on UK NW-A35 without issue, now rocking a USA model with no volume limit!
Used to listen at 85, equivalent is now 60-65
 
Used "scsitool-nwz-v6.exe d: dest_tool set U off​" in cmd, took around 10 mins including reset and rescan of 55GB tracks.

Having used LDAC on my A17 quite a bit I can recommend it for sound quality.  Unfortunately its sucks battery life like crazy at least on my A17.  Given that the A17 has bluetooth 3.0 and the A35 has the latest version I am hoping there is an improvement in battery life with LDAC.  Especially since Sony decided not to support AptX.

I would like to know how to you do the lockbox hack? I would like to take out the volume limit....with some hard to drive hp, I found the volume limit a lot the possibilities.

No, actually, I never tried Rockbox!!! But if it exists a function to remove volume limit, its great sometimes

not sure when Sony USA is going to sell them but you can buy the A35 through Amazon (through Buywise corp)  https://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B01LYFB9QR/ref=dp_olp_all_mbc?ie=UTF8&condition=all and it will have the English language menu available which i don't know if the Chinese or Japanese versions would)

You just need to find a seller who's not a moron and know what forms to fill out and include.  I bought one from Hong Kong and it was delivered to me in the US without any issues.

Well because those chinese seller has better deal, thats why i tired to order from them. For $280 you can get A36HN and extra 64GB SD and a A30 case and a screen protector and I think around$40 shipping cost. But they told me they only ship within China........ Now I'm trying to get a third party website to help me order it and I've confirmed they can ship the package via DHL. Wish me luck guys~~
