Sony mdr xb90ex vs Yamaha eph-100 ?

I looking for the new IEM and thinking about one of those two, Could anyone can compare these IEM's? My previous headphones were soundmagic e10 and I like only their bass, I looking for an upgrade with big bass, not recessed mids ( much better than e10), good treble at least and as wide as it possible wide soundstage, isolation about average is satisfactory, I usually listen rock music, a lot of RHCP. It would be nice if someone listen xb90ex and eph-100 and can compare them cheers

i've owned/own both. prefer the XB90 over the EPH-100. to be honest.. i bought the Yamaha after reading some of the rave impressions here, but i find them to be just so-so. they're good, but nothing special like most here claim. the XB90 sounds better to me, in my opinion. the mids and highs may be better on the Yamaha (for you since you like a more pronounced mids), but i find the highs a bit compressed and metallic sounding, where on the XB90, both mids and highs were smoother/laid back. so i guess it depends on your taste. both have about average soundstage. compared to my XBA-H1, the H1 has a bigger soundstage than both. the XB90 has the best sub-bass out of them.

i'm in a similar search, and it seems like most under $150 won't have that big soundstage + bass you're looking for. have you looked through this thread? http://www.head-fi.org/t/649125/iems-with-huge-soundstage-and-bass
 
my budget is a bit more than yours, so i have the sennheiser ie 80 on order. most reviews i've read and people here suggested that these are one of the best when it comes to that sound we are looking for.

I've owned the xb90ex for about a year now. To me, they have a good soundstage. Wider than most of my other iems. For the price I would gladly buy them again. The sub bass is very well done. Very very well done. The mids seem to be present but not overly so, and the treble is of a softer, inoffensive variety. There is a void in the mid bass area to me witch leaves you missing some of the punchy bass but it does punch a little. But the rumble is out of this world. Paired with a fiio e11, its mustache rattling!

I would also like to add that upon further examination, I find the mids of the xb90ex to be a warmish tone but really are quite present overall. The treble I would say is the weakest area of the spectrum. Just seems to be kinda distant or faint
