Hi,

I looked everywhere and came up empty. I remember seeing a very expensive small production Japanese headphone ($2-3k USD) that had a very similar construction to the MA900. It finally occurred to me to just ask. do you guys know the one I’m talking about?

Thanks in advance!

Kindest regards,

Maybe the Sony Qualia, or the MDR-SA5000?

Happy New Year!

Tried out new recent toy, UP4 BT 5.0 AMP, no colouration, laid back, easy listening for the ears, has been good for me using on a laptop wirelessly or wired on PC, even tried in FPS games on PC (using Low Gain Mode, as ma900 so easy to drive, and mostly aptX / aptX Low Latency (LL) codec was automatically kicking in, sometimes SBC), was good, dunno if anyone has better setups and have advantage over me during game, lol. Rock/metal sounded enjoyable, as I am not audiophile, but I was able to sense separation between instruments, drums, keyboard, guitars, nothing muffled, still warm sound

Hey everyone, does someone know of a place to send my MA900 for repair/mod? Unfortunately my pair developed channel imbalance (leans towards the left 60/40), it's fixable with software but since I want to fix them, might as well pay to mod them with a removable cable, any help is appreciated, thanks.

I have better headphone these days but the MA900 still get around these days because it sounds good no matter the source, still haven't modded out the impedance compensator circuit inside because of it.
i use it for playing piano late at night, plugging it to my Oculus Quest 2 for late night VR movie watching, etc.

Sounds like one of your tiny resistors on the driver causing issue, unless it's the wire.

In case you decide to go with the repair/mod, I'd be very interested to hear about results since I'm pretty much in the same boat with this balance problem. I've been thinking about replacing the resistors, and then, it it doesn't help, trying the cable mod.

Anyone would be interested in buying a used ma900 with non-original earpads?

Would anyone happen to have any recommendations for a replacement headband for the MA900? Mine's started to fall apart and I also wouldn't mind getting a little more clamp force on them as well.
