I love the m9. I can wear them all day and they sound great. I can’t do that with the ier z1r. I’m really liking them with the Sony zx707
Me too. What tips are you using?

My only disappointment so far is that Sony have supplied a nice selection of tips, none of which gives me a seal !

luckily, the s&s xxl dunu tips give a perfect seal for me.

I have noted the comment about deep / shallow fit & I an experimenting with various depths with the s&s.

Initial impression of the ier-m9 is very positive. I prefer a darker sound signature, so the talk of veiled or boring is a bit of a mystery to me. They sound spot on to me !

I do prefer the s&s xxl dunu tips to those supplied. I do have a set of INAIRS AIR1 (S/M/L) on order, so I will compare when they arrive.
Well I have tried the INAIRS AIR1, and whilst I get a good seal, I don't like what they do to the sound. So I guess I will stick to the dunu s&s 😁

Azla Sednafit Standards are working really well for me with the M9! Fits great, sounds great, and no pressure or vacuum seal.

I have used Azla Sednafit before & think that the dunu tips are superior. I find I can vary the insertion depth whilst maintaining a great seal.

INAIRS improve the bass over regular silicone and does so by sacrificing the treble to Molloch.

Yeah, but I like some treble. 😄

I got some spinfit cp100 xl delivered yesterday & fantastic fit & seal with the ier-m9. Less deep fitting than the dunu s&s & fantastic sound.

I think I have just got to admit that I am blessed with xl ear canals !

My parents are so proud :)

ps hifiheadphones.co.uk have these on sale right now.

Hi guys,

I have a question for ier m9 owners who can also compare their experiences with the 64 audio u6t. I was thinking about picking an ier m9 up as I've heard that it's an iem that has a safe, all-rounder tuning. But looking at the frequency responses of the u6t and the m9 they both sport a warmer and relaxed tuning. Is it redundant to add the ier m9 to my collection or do they serve as decent complements to one another?

Any ideas where you can get a new set of Sony M9s that ship to UK at a reasonable price these days?

Seen a few used pairs on Sony JP…

Got mine new on Amazon JP without the need of a proxy service. They appear from time to time.

Thanks. I will keep an eye out but would prefer new if I could.

Yeah. I found a new pair there a couple of months ago. Price was super competitive but I dallied and it was gone. Maybe I’ll wait to see if any others come up. Thank you.
