I just did a mod on my Sony D-25S with a BB OPA2134UA part for the op-amp. The results are excellent. Sound stage is wider. Everything came in focus. I heard bass extension way in the deep end. If anyone is interested in the mod on the Sony D-25S, e-mail me.

Very cool! Congrats!

Was it hard to do? Did the treble change in any way? Volume?

beef up the caps on the power supply. Not to much so the sound won't be slow. In my xperience, adding larger value to cap makes music sound slow. Instead, if there is room, I will use smaller value caps adding to the equivalent of a single large value cap. Hopefully you guys understand what I am getting at. As for the volume, there is a slight loss. nothing important though. You can compensate that by increasing it. I was able to drive my HD600 and KSC-35 easily.

I change the powersupply caps to tantulum. They have low ESR and have faster response time. I change the value from 150uf and 100uf to 220uf. It was difficult to find the size that fits the small foot print. I had to tweak the fitting. As you know, I will be offering to do the mod in-house for $20 (including parts and labor) if the task seems impossible. If you have any questions or want pictures of the mod, feel free to e-mail me through PM. You can also buy parts direct from me. Caps/each is $1.00 and OPA2134 is $3.00.

Khamphi,

Give us an idea of what it sounds like after you've done these mods. I'm really interested in getting one of mine modified and I'm sure there are others here that are interested also.
Thanks
Gary
