Sony budget earphone discussion thread (MH750, MH755, MH1C, EX300, etc)

What size tips fit the Mh755/MH750? Anyone know the bore diameter? They look quite small.

Wondering what aftermarket tips to get because the stock ones don't fit me well.
from experience, to get a really firm fit..some have used comply foam tips @ 4 mm (t200) and 3 mm (t100) , tried 5mm and its way too large

T200 is the size of most Sony tips. MH7xx included.
T300 also fits but is a bit tighter.

T100 can sometimes be made to fit but is usually too tight.

Very cool. I'm waiting for my SGAUDIOHIVE MH750's to arrive today. Funnily I also I tested the Final Audio Type E tips on another MC750 I had lying around and they fit perfectly
Surprise to hear you modding the MH750, as the cables are exceptionally high quality with the best microphone I have ever used via an earphone

Haha, same price on Kanoya from memory so just got those.

I actually received the modded MMCX today, any way to tell which is left and right?

Both are identical, no issues to swop 😀

Also the reason why the MH750 is more expensive and difficult to fake, is that the microphone has a noise cancelling and isolation microchip built in, I will try to attach the photos of the internal when I find them on my pc

Actually when I disassembled I noticed my left and right have different coloured wires - blue on left and red on right. Won't this make a difference? No risk of damage? Sorry i'm inexperienced but I read that IEM wires are blue or red for a reason. And if I'm connected to a balanced 2.5mm TRRS I thought it may matter. of course I could be wrong!

Where is the mic located on the MH750 cable? Based on the picture from one of my local sellers it's on the right side cable, but also it serves as a splitter? I've seen both versions before in different listings.

@SiggyFraud here's the insides of the microphone module & the original MH750 taken from an Xperia Mobile phone bundle with mfg 2017 with the Y-Cable behind the Neck Microphone layout

Thanks. So, this means both versions are legit? I thought one of them would be a fake.

@SiggyFraud No Mate..any sellers that shows this kind of Images are selling fakes..cause its made up..real sellers use Sony's Stock advertisement illustrations, do beware of this seller and demand for real proof like the details and images of his stocks origin..e.g bundling packing etc...

Real MH750 has the split from 1 cable to 2 Cables L/R after the Microphone Module

EDIT/Sorry Both are Fakes, there's no split to 2 cables in the image !!! !!!

OK, gotcha. I get it now. Thanks!
This is what it should look like, right?

BTW, I think that in the lower part of the image I sent before the split is actually there (look at the shadow), but it doesn't really matter.

I did notice that but the recent fake MH750 has the traditional CE Tagging ..after 2016 they stopped, so those MH750 with the Tags are also most likely fake!! but anyhow when you receive a fake you can easily contest it..as I always linked to this thread to the Selling Platforms and they always refund the monies due to the strong evidences this thread brings..Kudos Everyone for creating an awesome thread to give power to Buyers and protect us from the Fakers :p

If your ears can't discern a Harman Curve SS then the next best action is to pop the hoods(shells) to see the 2 small eyes :)

Also the fake MH750 has a atrocious Microphone, with Cables that feels cheap and flimsy thin, unlike the authentic MH750 with an extremely sturdy and durable thick springy cable, which IMHO is not easy to roll up ( Sony learnt from the past mistakes with the thin and flimsy cables from their 2012-2014 MH755/750 Series )

Sony is always very conscious to Audio quality as they are the leaders in it and their lifetime’s pursuit of audio excellence
