755 recabled with OFC copper braided cable. I also added a chin slider bead, and color coded channel identifiers because the stock L/R is too hard to see.

Mmmmm

very nice @Slater . I forgot i havent post mine here, will post later on. Yes, it is very difficult to differentiate between L and R unit btw, especially in the dark.

That cable looks sweet. Do you know where it can be bought from?

It’s a KZ cable, which came stock on the BA10. I wish KZ used it on more models; it’s a nice cable.

You can find it on Aliexpress if you search for “KZ copper cable”.

I also sanded down the sharp corners of the Y-split, which irritate most people because it catches on everything.

Looks similar to this one from RY Earphone Store: https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/bpvxWCql

The problem with that cable is it’s 4-wire braided all the way to the very end. It was not designed to be an IEM cable.

So to use it on an IEM, you have to totally unbraid it above the Y-split. This makes it a kinky tangly jangly hot mess.

Here’s what I mean:

@HungryPanda is right the cable is fine it’s twisted till the end but the cable has y-split and can be unraveled very easily. I have one on hand take a look:

I have unraveled many cables in my time, all replacement ones come like that

Sure, it can be unraveled, but see how it retains the ‘memory’ of being previously braided? I don’t like that. It’s all kinky and tangles easily.

Maybe if you can attach the wire to a drill and re-twist it like the KZ cables have above the Y-split? That would be ok for me then.

I love that look as long as it is kept even looking like this:

This is my newest Sony Ericsson HPM-64 (manufactured 2009 week 35 according to the same kind of labeling and packaging as with the MH755. I have six different colors... all recabled by HungryPanda. This is the only earbud that I use without foams. It comes with a rubber ring that is part of it. The cable comes like the one that you posted...all twisted together for the whole length. This came in a pack of 10 cables. Can you imagine if they were already untwisted and stuffed in a bag together? I should take a photo of my six different ones together.
