Some Pictures of my Woodies by the "Wizard" AKA "The Grand Master"

4 way
Sound Bores = 1 or zero, it really depends how one defines a sound bore.

Hard to explain, easier to see, but what I did was added a second floor to the CIEM, and had the sound ports of the BAD shoot directly in to the bottom floor of the CIEM. This then directed the sound on out to the canal portion of the CIEM, which then directed the sound on in to the ear canal.

Savy?  If not, try to imagine the Westone CIEM, they place a floor at the top of the canal area and then connect the tubes to the floor. I used the same concept, but I just raised the floor, (extended it) and had the TWFK BADs point vertically in to the floor.

The DTECs I had a chamber made for them, with a port that ran in to the second floor.

It was a fun project, not to be repeated.

I saw the above image, and for some reason, I pictured the Wizard himself in a trench coat, seated comfortably on a subway, with a pocket full of balanced armature drivers, just in case the circumstances call for an additional driver, for when, you know, 16 aren't enough.

All joking aside, you never cease to amaze me my friend. But the question remains... how do these creations sound?

Not really, I did this project more out of a "challenge" more than anything.  You may remember a certain IEM/CIEM company announced they were going to market a 20 driver CIEM.  The announcement caused a big stir, and a lot of folks said it could not be done. It was latter disclosed that the $7,000, 20 driver was a joke. So I decided to show that it could be done, not so much that it should be done.

How much, then, would the materials alone in this pair of IEMs you made cost? :p
