[SOLVED] Why is RME ADI-2 still noisy even when its shutoff?...speakers

😂

To be fair I shouldnt complain at 500$ bucks. I would admit that it can drive the Arya fine(around -15dBr/HiPower/ARL).

Yep, that's a screamin' deal.

I am a overkill person. My ears should bleed around 50% power output, like normal mode on the Diablo 😂

I have this http://audio-gd.com/Master/Master19/Master19EN.htm but if you want to be able to drive 2 pair of HE6 at the same time, then look at http://audio-gd.com/Master/Master9P/Master9PAEN.htm

My expectation of the extreme output was comparing it to the iFI Diablo. I shouldnt have😊

Would I give 1000$ now that I know what it can do. I think it is still worth it with the tweak possibilities…and remote

Yep, live and learn. It's a great DAC but it's not the easiest DAC in the world to set up.

With great power comes beautiful DACs !!! 😂🙌

That looks really beautiful! But I am going for the Weiss 501 with headphone amp…

Hmm I am use to watt/ohm. How does these numbers look compared to rme?

I think they're relatively similar on paper. Really, if you want endless power probably nothing remotely affordable in the all-in-one format is going to work for you. You didn't mention what headphones you have or plan to get, but maybe consider separates, or at least a dedicated headamp to run your RME into.

Yeah I actually emphasized the Weiss DAC for active speakers.

Chain:
Source(Network, USB, Optical) - Weiss - XLR out to Active speakers.

Arya V2(ForzaAudioworks 6.3mm cable) which I have and will never sell. But I do maybe need another pair. My next headphone is going to be closed, I think.

My local dealer recommended me this: Headphone output looks really weak though

With the dedicated PSU
https://www.project-audio.com/en/product/power-box-rs-uni-4-way/

But I will need an streamer so if I also add there streamer: I hope they will release RS2 version, just curious.

Streamer, I'm not sure what to think. I was happy with Bluesound for several years but lately they have gone down the pipes. I'll look into Pi-something for the next streaming adventure.

The Project boxes have big threads here, MQA never worked properly, for me it was important. I don't think they have a serious headamp.

For your information. I am going to test a preamp now that you talked about fixed output level to a preamp.

This is on the way. Same brand as the speaker

EDIT: Actually not ordered anyway. My local dealer didnt have them in stock.

You could look at the Audio-gd gear, there is a trustworthy dealer in the Netherlands (Magna Hifi)

I haven't heard it but I think whether you like THX or not can be contentious.

Well after a long search my local dealer found it. The ATC CA2 Preamp.

But as I see. I must go RCA out of RME to the CA2 preamp. This preamp is unbalanced. I really hope I don´t hear any type of noise on this pre.....

I wouldn't worry about it. People have been running RCA interconnects for a long, long time and it has been fine. Balanced is better on paper, in most cases the difference is not audible aside from the increased drive. My feeling is, if you can run balanced, do it. If not, don't worry about it.

sometimes RCA is better than XLR, if XLR is derived from RCA output (good ones use transformers (expensive), and bad ones use opamp)

I actually gave up on Weiss 501 after realizing how expensive it is with taxes😂

The good news is Weiss as a company is not going anywhere and 501/502 sound quality will not get worse over time. You can always try to pick up a used at some point.
