Solid State for L3000?

...of course there is the tube hybrid - Corda Eartube (now part of Jans' sale and built by AudioValve) - the flavor of a Prehead + some tube. Since this is not a very tubey sound, and the AudioTechnica HA5000 are Mosfet amps - this might work very well.
Head-fier Runningwater is/was located in Helsinki and he bought one a while ago - perhaps a PM to him might be helpful.

I like that little amp with the Grado PS-1's.

Or how about an Earmax Pro?

Quite a few people have reported excellent results with the EMP + L3000 combo.
